Celebrity Home: Will Arnett’s LA Prefab

Actor Will Arnett is known for his sharp sense of humor and willingness to be different, and his new Los Angeles home reflects his personality. He hired architect Suchi Reddy, who studied in Detroit, and prefab company LivingHomes to design a 3,975-square-foot steel-frame custom home.

Arnett says his home is reminiscent of his Canadian upbringing. “Growing up in Toronto, we had these great ravines, and there was one house in particular that was very modern, with a lot of glass,” he told Dwell. “I remember people saying, ‘That place looks weird.’ And I remember being like, it’s not weird, it’s rad.”

We love the modern and airy feel of his living room, and if you like Arnett’s style, we’ve got the look.

Here’s What You Need

Celebrity Home

Start with a pair of charcoal gray sofas. Our Sidney Road Truffle Sofa from the Cindy Crawford Home Collection is a great choice, and it features the added detail of nailhead trim.

Celebrity Home

A Mid-Century inspired chair adds to the modern feel of the room as well as a wooden element. Our Rocky Arm Chair is a great choice, and it ships to your home for free.

Celebrity Home

Arnett’s room uses three coffee tables to connect his seating collection. Not only do they provide plenty of surfaces for beverages and books; they can easily be moved to the side if he’s entertaining and needs the floor space. Our Leeds Coffee Table provides the same lines, which complement the design and style of the room. The square base helps keep the line of the room open.

Celebrity Home

A black round side table sits next to the accent chair, holding a few accent pieces. Our Acton Black End Table would be a good choice, as its pedestal base keeps the room feeling open.

Finally, Arnett has an oversized rug with an abstract print to anchor his living room. The light gray colors are calming and add a subtle pattern. Our Torrance Slate Rug would be a great choice. The soft colors provide a nice contrast to the charcoal sofas, and they help marry the marble top of the coffee tables.

Mother’s Day Style: Lisa Vanderpump

Mother’s Day is around the corner, and some of our favorite celebrity moms provide the perfect inspiration for designing your home around family. First up is Lisa Vanderpump, from BravoTV. We love her glamorous style. Her living room embraces her feminine side with elegant tufted furniture, over-the-top details like crystal chandeliers (everywhere,) and the welcoming feeling of softness and curves.

If you like Lisa’s look, too, here are three ways to incorporate it in your home.

Think Pink

Blush is a hot shade this season, especially in furnishings and rugs. Choose a blush sofa or rug as the foundation of the room. Layer in other shades of pink, as well. We’re reviving the cosmetic-counter colors of the ‘80s, with everything from mauve to fuchsia.

Add Mirrored Furniture

Nothing’s more glamorous in a room than a mirrored table or chest. Use one behind a sofa, in your foyer, or for an end table or nightstand. Mirrored furniture reflect the light in your room, giving your space sparkle.

Power Up Flowers

Bring flowers—lots of them!!—into your room with floral prints and fresh bouquets. Artwork or an accent chair with a bold floral pattern adds interest to your space and makes a statement. Vases with colorful buds literally breathe life into the room. You can never have too many blooms.

We’ve Got the Look: Jon Bon Jovi’s Living Room

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi recently sold his 4,000-square-foot duplex in Manhattan’s West Village for a cool $15 million, reports The Wall Street Journal. The spacious home featured high ceilings, lots of windows and gorgeous hardwood floors. We love the elegant living room that opens to a 1,500-square-foot landscaped garden, overlooking the Hudson River. While you may have missed out on this stunning residence, you can get the singer’s classic style:

Anchoring the living room is a beautiful oversized ivory sectional with curved lines and silk toss pillows. Our Illusions Three-Piece Sectional offers a similar feeling of luxury, with its elegant tufting and sweeping silhouette. Add some beautiful toss pillows in teal and gray to mimic Bon Jovi’s room, and you’ll get the same look.

An oval coffee table keeps the curves going in our inspiration room, and our Platform Oval Cocktail Table is a great match. Its metal base and wooden top brings texture into the rom, and the soft finishes continue the room’s subtle style.

A pair of elegant side chairs provides more seating in the room, and the wooden trim adds another rich detail. Our Como Accent Chairs would be a great choice. Upholstered in a soft taupe, the subtle pattern adds an element of interest, while the rich wooden frame brings contrast.

Bon Jovi’s living room features a desk instead of a side table between the chairs, which provides a convenient place to do work or catch up on reading. The glass top of our Percy Grey Desk will keep the open feeling in your room, while the rich floating drawers offer just the right amount of storage.

Finally, Bon Jovi’s living room features a unique lighting fixture with soft white shades that act like hanging artwork. Our Sophie White Pendant brings in a similar element of style with its unique faceted ceramic shade.

We’ve Got the Look: Jessica Alba’s Office

Jessica Alba Office

Jessica Alba is not only beautiful; she’s an A-list Hollywood star and a trendsetter with a chic style that’s often photographed for magazines. She’s also a successful entrepreneur; her business, The Honest Company, offers eco-friendly products for babies and parents. Elle Décor magazine recently visited its headquarters, which Alba designed to feel bright and fresh.

“I wanted to give my team many different spaces to work from so they didn’t feel like they were just at their desks all day,” Alba told Elle Décor. “I always have my best ideas when I’m at home—there’s less pressure. I want to recreate that environment for people and inspire them to thrive here.”

If Alba’s work style inspires you to do the same in your home office or office workspace, we’ve got the look:

Alba Ottoman

Identical to the ones found in Alba’s office, our cotton braided Red Pouf Ottoman has so many uses. Put one under your desk to elevate your feet. Use another near an oversized chair or settee to unwind or work on your laptop. And scatter more around the room for extra seating during an impromptu meeting. We love it in red, but it comes in earth, curry, grass, light blue, navy, orange, kiwi and orchid, too.

Alba’s office has a slim settee that provides comfortable seating and the feeling of home. Our Kari Ivory Settee is a great choice, offering a tailored style that fits with the professional feel of a workplace. Update the look with new pillows that match the ottoman or add a variety of colors for a sumptuous feel.

Alba Table

Instead of a traditional end table, Alba uses a metal cube with her settee, bringing more texture and depth to the workspace. We think our Argos Table is a great addition, with its patina finish and riveted trim. The handles make it easy to move wherever a surface is needed.

Finally, bring in a graphic rug to your office that adds interest to the floor. This horizontal stripe pattern in nautical blue is very on-trend, and will brighten up your workspace with its bold feel.

We’ve Got the Look: Nate Berkus’s Nursery

Celebrity design couple Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent recently opened the doors of their Manhattan home to Architectural Digest, and it’s every bit as beautiful as you might imagine. One of the most enchanting rooms is the nursery of their daughter, Poppy. Done in soft grays and whites with metallic accents, the small space is chic and playful. If you like their style, we’ve got the look.

Start with a classic white crib. Nate and Jeremiah chose a Victorian-style spindle crib in timeless white, and our Linden Crib is a great match. Curved details give the bed some personality, but the simple style makes it a clean slate for choosing the rest of the room’s décor.

Adding texture as well as glamour is a white faux fur stool. In a small room, each piece stands out, and this soft furnishing provides a place for Poppy to sit or a place for the dads to put up their feet. For your room, our Dutchess White Faux Fur Stool would provide the same great benefits.

Tucked beneath a changing table is a mirrored storage piece. Not only does it provide space to organize Poppy’s clothing and gear; the mirrored sides make the room feel larger. Our Hudson Mirrored Chest would have the same result, and this glamorous piece will grow with your baby or blend into another room when no longer needed.

Finally, Nate and Jeremiah use a mixture of gold-leaf mirrors and framed artwork to dress up the nursery. Our Albany Gold Wall Mirror would be a good start. Then frame your favorite black and white prints, and create a gallery wall.
